APMA has the resources you need to help you through every step of your career. With detailed information about MIPS and recent coding trends along with compliance guidelines and practice marketing materials, APMA has you covered whether you are just getting started in practice, preparing for retirement, or anywhere in between.
Today's podiatrist has the necessary education and training to treat all conditions of the foot and ankle and plays a key role in keeping America healthy and mobile while helping combat diabetes and other chronic diseases.
Your feet are excellent barometers for your overall health. Healthy feet keep you moving and active. They are quite literally your foundation. In this section, learn more about APMA Seal-approved and accepted products, proper foot care, common foot and ankle conditions, and how your podiatrist can help keep you and your feet healthy.
APMA is the only organization lobbying for podiatrists and their patients on Capitol Hill. As the voice of podiatric medicine to your legislators and regulators, APMA is active on a variety of critical issues affecting podiatry and the entire health-care system.
The National is truly the must-attend event for every podiatrist, covering the entire spectrum of foot and ankle care and representing every voice in podiatric medicine and surgery. This year, once again, we have organized all of our outstanding content into two convenient tracks: One track will cover medical topics, while the other will focus on surgical topics.
We’ll jump right into educational sessions today, including an opening address from APMA Past President Ross Taubman, DPM, president and chief medical officer of PICA. Dr. Taubman will share his thoughts on the impact of servant leadership and how it has affected his own professional journey. Also this afternoon, join us for the grand opening of our expansive Exhibit Hall.
Tomorrow and Saturday, there will be hands-on workshops in Nashville (ask about availability of slots at Registration if you have not already signed up) and our popular surgical blitz sessions. On Saturday, we encourage all attendees to come out to support their alma mater at the annual Podiatry School Student Quiz Bowl. Also Saturday, enjoy the latest science shaping the practice of podiatry at our oral abstracts session and the poster abstracts symposium. New this year, on Saturday a panel of experts will share their personal perspective on how to tackle a variety of challenging pathologies in a session dubbed, “How Would I Approach This?” Sunday will deliver the unmatched Harry Goldsmith, DPM, Memorial Coding Seminar.
Don’t miss important opportunities to supplement your continuing education throughout the meeting. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday you’ll have the chance to attend non-CECH symposia on a wide variety of topics. And don’t forget to visit our Innovation Cafés in the Exhibit Hall during Friday and Saturday morning scanning breaks. Rest your feet, help yourself to a beverage, and listen to a sponsored talk. After the meeting, watch for more information about how to access exclusive bonus CECH in the APMA Online Learning Center.
As always, one of the greatest benefits of The National is the camaraderie. Young physicians won’t want to miss the Young Physicians’ Happy Hour from 6:30–7:30 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday morning, get your day off to a running (or walking!) start with the Team APMA 5K Run/Walk benefiting the APMA Educational Foundation. Be sure to stop by our Member Lounge near Registration to relax, catch up with old friends, and make new ones. You’ll also find a social media station in the lounge with a backdrop, lighting, and tripod so you can snap the perfect selfie for your social media accounts!
Take some time outside of the educational program to peruse our vast exhibit hall and thank the many great companies on hand to share their products and services and support podiatric medicine. Don’t forget to stop at the APMA booth (#507) to learn more about the many ways APMA defends you and your practice.
APMA gratefully acknowledges the outstanding sponsors that have made this event possible. We are fortunate to enjoy the support of these wonderful companies that play a vital role in our podiatry community.
APMA welcomes your feedback as The National evolves to meet the changing needs of the podiatric community. The meeting evaluation will be available soon after the close of the meeting. We look forward to delivering an exceptional event.
