The APMA Educational Foundation is thrilled to announce 15 outstanding podiatric medical students have been awarded travel scholarships to attend the APMA 2021 Annual Scientific Meeting (The National), July 29–August 1 in Denver! Last month, APMA launched a video contest open to all podiatric medical students and received an overwhelming response from excited and qualified applicants. We look forward to hosting this bright group of young professionals, many of whom will be presenting their research at the meeting. Be sure to follow APMA's Instagram account, @official_apma, to see some of the winning submissions.
This year's contest included the first-ever Physician’s Choice Award. The Physician’s Choice Award gifts the largest monetary winnings offered by the APMA Educational Foundation, and the recipient is chosen by friends of the foundation. This year’s winner is Jimmie Lewis III from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine.
