Podiatric medical residents could benefit from wellness programs to improve their well-being according to a study published in JAPMA. In “Podiatry Resident Wellness: A Group Survey Study,” Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM, et al concluded levels of physical, emotional, and financial wellness to be “alarmingly low.” More than 40 percent of respondents reported having anxiety or depression and are experiencing professional burnout.
