APMA places the highest value on the health and wellbeing of its members and staff. In light of new developments in the rapidly evolving COVID-19 outbreak, the APMA Board of Trustees has voted to cancel the 2020 House of Delegates meeting scheduled for March 13–16 in Washington, DC.
“This decision is the most responsible course of action to safeguard the health of our delegates, guests, and staff,” said APMA President David G. Edwards, DPM.
In accordance with the APMA Bylaws, the board voted Monday to designate the current situation an extraordinary emergency and cancel the meeting. The Board of Trustees will hold virtual meetings in the coming days to determine next steps in conducting the business of the association.
APMA appreciates your patience as we work to address the needs of the profession while prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of our community.
In addition to the House of Delegates, APMA has decided to cancel The Coding Seminar, March 28 in Dallas.
Meeting registrants will be issued a full refund within the next 5–10 business days. If you made a hotel reservation for the event at the Westin Galleria, please be sure to cancel your room by calling 972-934-9494.
APMA is currently working with its presenters to evaluate the feasibility of a “virtual” coding seminar that will include content similar to that which would have been covered in Dallas. This event, if scheduled, will likely take place in April or May. We are also exploring the possibility of offering CECH for this online event. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing to serve you as the gold standard in foot and ankle coding education.
