Members may now be receiving notices from CMS that they did not successfully demonstrate meaningful use of EHR technology for the 2016 performance period. Clinicians who failed to successfully demonstrate will receive a 3-percent negative payment adjustment for 2018 Medicare Part B payments. If you have received this notice and believe it to be in error, you are strongly encouraged to complete CMS’ CY 2018 Payment Adjustment Reconsideration Form no later than February 19. Please note: The application PDF includes an old deadline of January 31. CMS has extended this deadline to February 19 and notes this extension on the webpage where the form is housed.
